Much as Americans did after 9-11 at 2:28 Beijing time people gathered near the local flag pole for three minutes of silence followed my continuous horn honking in honor of the more than 32000 who died in last weeks earthquake. Since we don't speak the language it has been hard to gather the magnitude of the distaster until this moment.
